... to Hintlesham & Chattisham
The villages of Hintlesham and Chattisham are located a few miles west of Ipswich, in the district of Babergh, Suffolk
Whilst separated by a few fields, we are linked in almost every other way, sharing amongst other things a school, community hall and parish council. There is a strong community spirit within the villages, evident in our two churches, pub and many clubs and organisations, details of which can be found on this website.
Our Community Council manages the community’s assets on behalf of the village including the Community Hall, two playing fields, a MUGA (multi-use games area) and a large expanse of woodland adjacent to the hall. These facilities are regularly used by the village’s clubs and organisations in addition to a wide array of activities and events for residents and visitors. To assist in finding the Hall the postcode is IP8 3PS.
URGENT - we are looking for a new Editor for The Village Link.
It is with much regret that we heard that the Editor of The Village Link, Christine Smith, has resigned as of the end of April 2024.
The Committee and I would like to thank Chris for all she has done over the past 2 years.
Therefore, we are looking for a new person to take on this role.
This is a voluntary post, you need an interest in the Villages and some computer skills.
Chris and the Committee are willing to give as much help as is needed to get the new person in post.
If you are interested, contact Stephanie Coupland for further details.
